Our family is all over Indianapolis checking out new and exciting things for children and families across the city. While we’re on the go, I have to admit, I often forget to pack snacks or lunches when we are gone all day long. For health reasons we try to keep fast food and sitting down at a restaurant is not always conducive to our schedule (or my children’s mood!) – so what’s left? Only one of the most fun dining options our city offers – food trucks!

Food trucks are exactly what they sound like – trucks that sell food. These trucks travel all over the city each day, and their locations/schedule can often be found on their website or Facebook page. They travel downtown, office complexes, to the malls, and can even be spotted near sports fields during the summer. You may be wondering, “How good can food be that is served out of a TRUCK?” Well, let me assure you that it can be delicious!
There are a variety of different food trucks operating in Indy selling a range of foods and cuisines – from pizza and French fries to slow cooked comfort foods to Indian food to juices to cupcakes. When there is a #clustertruck event (when many trucks gather together in one place) there will surely be something for everyone!
